The Tool Shed Company, a division of TOOLSHEDLINE & CO., is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website. Contact: support@toolshedcompany.co.za.
2. What we collect
When you request a quote or send an enquiry we collect your name, company name, email address, phone number, project location, requested hire dates and the content of your message, together with the equipment you included in your request. We also record when you accepted our hire terms.
3. Why we process it
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, prepare and manage quotations and hire agreements, arrange delivery or collection, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
4. Legal basis
Processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform hire contracts, to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website.
5. Sharing and service providers
Your information is processed by our hosting, database and email service providers acting on our instructions under appropriate safeguards. Some providers process data outside South Africa; where they do, we rely on contractual protections consistent with POPIA section 72. We do not otherwise share your information except where the law requires it.
6. Retention
We keep enquiry and quote records for as long as needed to handle your request and afterwards as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes, after which they are deleted or de-identified.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls and encryption in transit, to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
8. Your rights

9. Emails from us
We send service emails you would reasonably expect — quote confirmations and responses to your enquiries. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link managed by our email provider.
